Arc Flash Suits must have an arc test on the hood.

Though this suit in the UK claims to be an excellent arc flash suit it leaves out a detail which is important. It has no hood/facepiece testing on the suit in the literature. The IEC standards have no requirements for testing hoods for arc protection. Without ASTM F2178 I would not recommend buying an arc flash suit. This one used a flash fire test to claim low body burn. NOT THE RIGHT STANDARD. Not a bad standard and the materials are good. Just don’t know how much face protection you will have in an arc flash without a hood arc test like ASTM F2178.
