One worker died and six others were hurt after a metallic bar they were holding came into contact with a  high-voltage transmission wire on Dec. 7th.  One worker was pronounced dead at the hospital and the others remain hospitalized. The Verizon Lineman was working on a utility pole from a bucket when he came into contact with power lines and was electrocuted.  Emergency services responded but the lineman suffered severe burns and was pronounced dead at the scene.  An investigation is underway.
