Nine year old boy from Congo severely injured in electrical accident undergoes surgeries in Boston

The little boy was severely burned after running into an electric plant during a game at his home three years ago. The boy lost his arm and sustained third degree burns to his face.  He underwent facial reconstruction in Boston and will receive a prosthetic arm in a few weeks.  His friend was killed in the incident. Man seriously burned after coming into contact with 11kV power line

A  man in his 50′s was seriously injured after touching or stepping on a live power line.  It was unclear immediately how the cable came down but it was possibly due to a lightning strike.  The injured man was admitted to the hospital and was listed in  stable condition having undergone surgery. Private school in UK fined following overhead powerline incident which injured 3 workers

Three groundsmen were seriously shocked and burned when the rugby post they were installing came into contact with a 33Kv overhead line.  The school was fined  £6,000 and ordered to pay £4,274.40 in  costs. Click here to read more about overhead powerline incident

Jury trial set in man’s fatal electrocution wrongful death lawsuit against Kansas City Power and Light

Southern California couple and their 21 year old son killed; contacted 12kV power line that had fallen in their yard

The power line fell into the victim’s backyard  and the father went into the yard after hearing a loud pop.  Both his wife and 21 year-old son followed and all three were fatally electrocuted as they attempted to rescue each other. British Student Electrocuted When Her Bike Crashes into Lamp-Post in China
